My life is running to the tops of hills to be battered by gales, stalking fields and dead trees with a 35mm, living in a pile of musty, yellowed books, dragging mud over the threshold after an afternoon exploring, the beautiful, transportive chords of the mandolin, the yowl and screech of fox and hawk, warming reddened hands on mugs of steaming tea, sitting by the loch conjuring scenes from folklore out of the coiling mist, letting sea foam whip my body just for the slightest glimpse of a selchie and always dreaming of winter, of sitting in a sleigh and being pulled into the darkness and falling snow.
